Blurbs from the Bowl

Let me introduce myself - I am Big Ben The Beta Fish.  I live in the 4K classroom.  I spend everyday watching your kids and let me tell you it keeps me busy!  

They come into the classroom, wash their hands, read the job chart, and sing the Brain Smart Song.  They listen to stories, do fingerplays, and then they have worktime.  The job of the 4K student is to play.   Play develops many skills that are necessary for children to learn to read and write for success in math and science.  

Clean up time, snack, and quiet books come next followed by a large group project and then some music and movement.  I know it is time to go home when they sing the Goodbye Song. 

Although I am sad to see them leave, I am literally exhausted from swimming here and there trying to see everything that is going on.  These kids sure are busy!
