Teaching Experience:  This is my 8th year teaching Art K-5 at St.

                                St. Matthew School and my 2nd year

                                teaching Art K-8 at Resurrection School.

Education:  BA Art and Occupational Therapy

                 Arts Education Teaching Certification  birth - age 21

Art Education Philosphy: Discipline Based Arts Education

                                    giving students experience in

                                  1. Art Production - making art

                                  2. Art History

                                  3. Art Criticism - looking, discussing and

                                          writiing about art using description,

                                          analysis, interpretation, evaluation

                                   4. Aesthetics - questions of beauty and

                                            value in art.

All assignments are designed to meet Diocesan, State and National Arts Education Standards.

Personal: I am married to my husband, Paul, for 24 years.    Together we have 5 children including a daughter and 4 sons. This is our 18th year as members of St. Matthew Parish. Paul also grew up in this parish. I have a variey of interests including raising my family, the arts, sports, service, reading, cooking, gardening, traveling and sharing time with family and friends.
