Week of Oct. 18th

  Sketchbooks are being assembled, and then we are moving back in time to visit Ancient Greece. Grades 3-6 are learning about Greek vase or "amphora" paintings and working on related art projects. Grades 7-8 are working on projects combining Doric, Ionic and Corinthian columns of Greek architecture with the Pillars of Character our whole school will be learning about all year. The younger grades are going back to Prehistoric time to learn about the cave paintings of Lascoux, France. We even have a cave set up in the room that we can go in to create our own cave paintings.
