The Second Day of School!

A pretest is a tool for both the teacher and the student.  It is given before a particular unit begins, and its purpose is to see what knowledge the students already have on that particular topic.  It is not graded, nor is it put into the gradebook.  It is merely a tool to see where each student is ready to begin.

We are having our first math pretest today.  The students will be tested on their knowledge of addition and subtraction with regrouping, along with any knowledge they have of decimals and how to add and subtract them. 

We will be starting an introduction of my version of "Math Daily 5" on Tuesday.
