Band and Music

Bio:  I have been teaching at St. Matthew School since 2007.  My wife and I are both instrumental and general music educators, so music is a very large part of my life.  I enjoy camping, fishing, jogging, biking, and spending time with my family.

Band Class:  The band program consists of a 5th grade concert band, a middle school concert band, and a middle school jazz band.  Students meet once a week for 5th grade and twice a week for middle school for full band rehearsals.  Weekly 20 minute lessons by instrument type and grade are also an important part of the band students' learning.

Music Class:  General music classes are attended each week by students in grades K - 8.  Students learn concepts of music pertaining to theory, history, vocal performance, and instrumental performance.
