Saint Reports

Our 8th graders are currently working on a Saint Report which will become part of their Journey Portfolios.  The report, based on a Blessed or Saint who was beatified or Canonized in the past 200 year, will introduce us to some more specific details about the lives of these saints.

Students and Parents,

Please refer to the information below (handed out in class) if you have any questions.

Holy Catholics:
Blessed and Saints

Each student will be researching and presenting their findings of a Blessed or Saint in the Catholic church who was beatified or canonized within the past 200 years. Work may be presented in one of three ways; on a poster board, in a 5-paragraph essay, or in a documentary style video. Each way must contain the following information:

1. name of Saint or Blessed with any title given to him/her
2. when he/she lived (born, died)
3. where he/she lived (each location)
4. important facts about his/her life (personal history of the person)
5. feast day, special devotions, prayers, symbols for which they are known
6. miracles attributed to him/her
7. why you chose this person
8. what you admire about him/her
9. how was this person like Jesus
10. how can you follow him/her as a role model
11. at least one picture of him/her

An A+ report will contain all of the information listed above, be neat, organized, and free from spelling and grammar errors.
