Writing to Music

In addition to writing the perfect 5-paragraph essay, students need to be able to complete creative writing assignments.  A great way to do this is to invoke your sense when writing. 

The 8th graders are taking on this challenge.  In the coming weeks, they will choose a piece of instrumental music and analyze what they hear.  They will then create a story to match the music.  The process will begin with an outline, followed by storyboards, and culminate with a complete story that matches the tone, rise and fall, and musicality of the piece.
