8th grade Musical Story

Dear 8th Graders,

You are about to embark on a new adventure that will hopefully help you become a better writer, more knowledgeable about music, and allow you to have some fun!  The goal is to write a story that fits with a piece of instrumental music.  This story should have colorful details that allow those who hear to see what is happening in their heads.  Your story should come to life with the music so that each time your audience hears "your song" they remember the wonderful occasion in 8th grade when they were first introduced to "your story!"

Please be open to the muses around you....Saint. Cecelia may be of particular assistance to you! J  Try to picture what is happening and then give the audience the pictures that you saw through your words!  Please feel free to ask questions or run things by me if you have any questions during the writing process.  Good luck and have fun!

You may bring a device with which to listen to your music (iPod, CD player, phone, MP3 player) however, IT MAY ONLY BE USED AND SEEN IN MY CLASSROOM DURING THE WORKDAYS LISTED BELOW!!!!! If any device is seen or used during other times, it will be taken away and your parents must pick it up from the office.  You will also lose the privilege of using it during future work days.

 Sincerely,

Mrs. Goldman
