9-11 Essay

Last year, students were introduced to the 5-paragraph essay writing.  Now, we are reviewing the process.  We began by discussing how to choose a topic that stems from the events of 9-11 and write a "big idea" question that will lead to a thesis statement.  Students then had to find reliable sources from which they will take notes, create an outline, and ultimately write their essay.
