Meet our new Student Teacher, Josie Karcz

A message from our student teacher, Miss Josie Karcz:

Hello St. Matt's students, family, and community! Thank you for the warm welcome I have received since joining the staff this fall. I have enjoyed meeting the families at open house, parent night, and even some community events, and the students have already impressed me. I look forward to an exciting nine weeks with you all.

I am a senior at St. Norbert College studying English, and will be certified to teach in middle school and high school. I feel very fortunate to be in the close, supportive community of St. Matthew for my first experience student teaching! I love that the small class sizes allow me to know each individual student and incorporate their interests and needs into my lessons. With such enthusiastic students and a gifted cooperating teacher, Mrs. Goldman, I know I will learn a lot during my time here.

Just like Mrs. Goldman, I will also post information about my literature and language arts units on this teacher page. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for a unit, please let me know! I would love to hear from you.
