Fall Conferences

YOUR CHILD WILL BE BRINGING HOME YOUR

CONFERENCE TIME SHEET TODAY (Thursday, October 7).

Dear Middle School Parents,

We are looking forward to meeting with you next week to discuss your child’s progress in school. We will be looking at your child’s work, his/her grade, as well as MAPs scores and Action Plans. If at all possible, please bring your child to the conference. We feel that the best way to have a discussion on his/her progress is to have him/her involved in the conversation.

Please arrive at the school 15 minutes before your scheduled conference time. You will begin by going to the MPC and meeting with Ms. Engels. She will give you your Powerschool password and your child’s portfolio. Use the remaining time to view the portfolio with your child and go over the MAPs scores and Action Plan. Then, bring the portfolio to your child’s homeroom classroom where you will meet with the Middle School Team.

Finally, we have a very tight conferences schedule! Please do not be offended when we set a timer at the start of the conference; doing so will allow for everyone to stay on track. If you feel you need more time, please email your child’s homeroom teacher and we will make changes as necessary.
