A Christmas Carol

The 7th graders are getting into the holiday spirit through literature this year as we read Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol.  Following each Stave (what we commonly call chapters), the students are creating a single image comic.  In the comic, they will include one part of the story and include an ironic comment or conversation about the scenario they choose.

In addition, the students are using their compar/contrast skills by comparing the book two of the MANY versions of the movie that are available.  Last week, they watched "Mickey's Christmas Carol" in class and upon finishing the book, we will watch the original version of the movie.
