Welcome to first grade,

My name is Lucy Porter and I am the first grade teacher here at St. Matthew school. This is my third year of teaching and I couldn't be happier than to be here amongst so many good, supportive, families, teachers, and staff.

Our class this year is a nice small group of 15. We have already done many neat things including our participation in Pinwheels for Peace, learning the parts of a plant and their functions, and experimenting with our five senses.

 The beginning of the school year is such an interesting time as we practice our new school behaviors and expectations while enjoying one another and the learning experiences we have together!
